Dear Clients, Friends and Fans of Susan Seddon Boulet,
We request anyone wishing to make an offer read all of the information below. We understand that these paragraphs of terms and conditions can be dry and boring, but we would like to insure those making offers completely understand the process by which we have sold Susan's art online since 2000. A good understanding of the process will eliminate any potential misunderstandings.
Thank you.
A Background On The Pieces (2008)
Turning Point has been the principal gallery representing and selling original works by Susan Seddon Boulet since 1992. We continue to work diligently and cooperatively with her family, friends and estate to further enhance and honor her legacy. This is Turning Point's twelfth annual sale of original work By Susan Seddon Boulet and the seventh held worldwide on the internet.
The original works in this sale come from collections in the U.S.
All of the pieces have recently been re-matted using acid-free mats, separators and backings; all of the glass has been replaced with museum conservation, UV glass. Most of the work has been re-framed as noted.
To Make an Offer on These Originals
These original works will be for sale on the internet during the month of May 2008. The work will also be available for viewing during that same time period, in person, at Turning Point Gallery during our regular business hours

Offers must be made by clicking on the I agree to the Terms and would like to Make an Offer link at the bottom of this page or any of the individual image pages.
Offers are to be in US dollars equal to or above the Opening Offer Price, and should be in increments of fifty dollars. Ie. $1,000. - $1,050. - $1,100. - $1,150. etc.
You will need to create and remember a 7 to 10 letter and or number user code when placing an offer. Please fill in the online offer sheet completely; so that we can maintain clear communication with those of you making offers. Incomplete, un-verifiable offers will be voided.
The high offer will be posted immediately along with the encoded User Name of the person making that offer. In the event of duplicate offers; the first offer received will take precedence.
At the request of many... Turning Point Gallery has instituted a proxy offer system; in which we will automatically increase your offer incrementally, on your behalf, up to your maximum offer, which will be held absolutely confidential. ie. If you choose to offer $2,000. on a piece that has a current high offer of $1,000. your actual offer will only be $1,050. We will increase your offer automatically by $50., when other offers are received, up to your maximum offer. You will never pay more than $50. over the next highest offer below yours.
Closing The Offer Period
At a pre-determined but undisclosed point in time during the first seven days of June 2008, offers will no longer be considered, and the pieces will be sold to the individuals holding the current high offer. (each piece has a different, randomly selected ending time). This unique procedure has been created to 1.) give buyers, world wide, an opportunity to purchase original work - (historically we have sold out all set price sales of Susan's work to local collectors within hours of the show being hung) 2.) because the exact ending moment is not known to bidders, it helps to prevent last second offers, ("sniping") and 3.) It helps to create an atmosphere that we believe is more respectful to the wishes and legacy of the artist - and to the buyers that support Susan's art.
If you have any questions about this process or any other needs, please do not hesitate to contact Chris or Cara at Turning Point Gallery - 610 566-9474 or by email at info@turningpointgallery.com
Shipping
Turning Point Gallery will be happy to pack and ship the pieces to buyers. We build wood crates that are filled with custom cut upholstery foam to insure the safety of the pieces being shipped. The buyer is not charged for the cost of materials or the time necessary to build the crates. The buyer is charged only what Fed EX charges us for three day delivery and insurance.
We will however collect a $150. deposit on each crate to insure its return. It will be the buyers responsibility to return the crate to Turning Point Gallery, at the buyers expense. (Usually about $20. to $35. if shipped ground within the U.S.)
We would like to receive the returned crate within three weeks of the paintings arrival to the buyer.
When the crate is received your deposit will be returned in full.
Terms and Conditions of Sale
The terms and conditions of sale represent the entire agreement between Turning Point Gallery and the buyer with respect to the property in this sale. By tendering an offer you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
