"Dream Journal", painted in 1996, the last year of Susan's life, reflects her ongoing fascination with dreams. According to Michael Babcock in Susan Seddon Boulet: A Retrospective, "dreamwork was Susan's first doorway into self-understanding," beginning in the mid-1970s, it continued to be a source of self-knowledge and inspiration until her death in 1997. This piece captures the ephemeral quality of dreams, how objects transform seamlessly one into the other. There are several motifs seen often in Susan's work, such as the the flowers growing in the figure's head, the crescent moon, the diamond pattern, one eye looking inward, one eye looking outward and the lovely textures. Please Note: Shipping to continental United States is $10.00 per order.
